Villagers invited to support ‘Stock Against Speeding’ on Saturday 16 March

Stock Parish Council invites villagers to support our ‘Stock Against Speeding’ campaign on Saturday 16 March at 10am.

A Road Safety Survey completed in January 2024 showed strong support for a 20mph Zone and average speed cameras to be introduced in the village centre and speed reductions on the B1007 either side of the village.

The Parish Council has made Local Highways Panel (LHP) applications for speed surveys to be undertaken. It is hoped the results of those surveys will support villagers’ desire for the reduction in speed limits across Stock, with the intention of improving road safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

To show the strength of feeling, the Parish Council is hosting a photocall this Saturday 16 March at 10am, with villagers asked to meet at the Village Hall Car Park.

Local media will be invited to photograph villagers showing support for ‘Stock Against Speeding’.
