Works on the car park on Stock Common will commence on Monday 27 January 2025, subject to weather conditions.
These works were commissioned by Stock Parish Council and granted planning permission by Chelmsford City Council. The Planning Application and Non Material Amendment 23/00220/FUL can be viewed on Chelmsford City Council’s website.
Works will see the existing car park extended from seven to 15 spaces, with an aggregate sub-base covered by gravel laid to reach the existing car park boundary marked by wooden bollards.
These works are funded by Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) money, which is a charge levied on new developments by the local planning authority and allocated and used to fund infrastructure and services.
