Stock Parish Council would like to invite villagers to plant
a tree in memory of a loved one on the Common.
The Parish Council has recently commissioned and was granted
planning permission for works to fell a number of dead and dangerous trees from
the Common, with the logs being made available to villagers for free collection.
As the trees were felled within a Conservation Area, they
will be replaced according to Section 213 of the Town and Country Planning Act
(1990).
As such, the Parish Council invites villagers who would like
to pay tribute to a lost family member or friend by planting a tree in their
memory to contact the Parish Clerk at clerk@stock-pc.gov.uk
The planting of memorial trees will be carried out by a
qualified local arborist.
