Ingatestone Road and Stock Lane are to be closed between its junctions with Stock Road and the humpback bridge over the River Wid.

Essex Highways have informed Stock Parish Council that this section of carriageway will be closed for a distance of approximately 1.8 miles between Monday 18 May and Friday 22 May – a period of five days.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route will be put in place via Stock Road, B1002, A414, A1114, B1007 and vice versa.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
