Stock Parish Council would like to update villagers regarding the potential purchase of plots on the former Stock United Football Club site in Mill Lane.

A number of villagers have expressed interest in donating towards the purchase of the plots, enabling them to be returned to a football and leisure ground.

The plots will be purchased through a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) when registered. This is in the process at present.

Stock Parish Council have set up a separate loan account for the donations to be paid into which will be transferred into the CIO when registered.

A Stock Parish Council statement confirming this will be declared and signed at the next Stock Parish Council meeting and minuted.

All donations are subject to gift aid and tax relief depending on your individual tax threshold.

Stock Parish Council have agreed an extended completion to assist with the above.

Should Stock Parish Council fall short of the total purchase price of the plots then all donations will be refunded.

At present, Stock Parish Council are in negotiations with the owners of the remaining three plots. Until this has been accomplished, the total purchase price is not available.
