On behalf of Stock Parish Council, I would like to thank all parishioners who have submitted their promissory notes to date for the acquisition of the former football ground Mill Lane, Stock, to return it to a sports and leisure facility.

To date the donation bar stands at £435,000 which is a monumental achievement, however the target necessary is £500,000 and there is a way to go yet to achieve our goal.

I would ask those who have requested promissory notes but as yet have not returned them, to confirm their interests by doing so, enabling us to reach the goal, this will give the council the resolve to complete the purchasing of all six plots as planned.

There is a public meeting for the parishioners of Stock at the Village Hall on Saturday 3 October at 11am, where an update will be given and questions can be put to the council.
