Stock Parish Council is pleased to confirm that road markings in the village centre have been repainted following a request made to Essex Highways.
The two zebra crossings across the High Street/B1007 and associated zig zag lines outside Budgens and the Bakers Arms have been repainted.
Motorists can be fined and issued with penalty points for failing to give way to pedestrians who have set foot on zebra crossings, which are increased when it is patrolled by a school crossing patrol, as the zebra crossing outside Budgens is each morning and afternoon.
Bus stop markings have also been repainted, as have a number of give way lines and other road markings, assisting all road users.
The Parish Council will contact Essex Highways to report further road markings in the village which need to be repainted.
